skills.

Belt grades can wanting to expand their horizons
in specific areas to develop expertise in an
area of interest. The workshops can include a
variety of martial arts, weapons, edged weapons
defence, control and restraint, pain compliance,
gymnastics, competition fighting and much more.
The workshop instructors are world renowned and
qualified to the highest international
standards.
Your Black Belt...
Your grades relate
to the syllabus in which you are trained. This
in the realm of things is the subject matter
that you as an instructor will teach. The
subject matter added to the modules on this page
qualify you as an instructor. The other
qualifications are teaching qualifications that
meet the national and international standards
required.
International Training Programme (ITP)...
The I.T.P. allows you to
run some of the qualifications including first
aid in your own club, subject to doing the P.T.C.
and the courses you want to teach. In addition
to that it also allows you access to the
training network so you can renew your
qualifications conveniently and economically
Business Development Workshops
Instructors
needing to develop advertising campaigns,
coaching programmes and develop their clubs
professionally can enrol into various courses as
they are advertised.
Renewing Certification
If you are a teacher
or instructor its worth remembering we must
provide a duty of care and ignorance is no
defence in the eyes of the law. The reality is
certification need renewing so that you always
are passing on up to date teaching information.
As insurers and research bodies publish
information courses are constantly updated and
this information especially in first aid or
health and safety is very important. All
certificates should be renewed every two years.
Avoiding Potential
Insurance Claims
Can you prove your
qualified? Have you any evidence? Is is
accredited from a national body?
In the event of a claim what could you be asked
for? Now we have no win no fee solicitors anyone
can be taken to court, so in reality it better
being safe than sorry. Many instructors will say
they have been teaching for years, but court
cases rely on evidence of that. How could they
explain they new they were teaching correctly?
Cowboy clubs threaten all legitimate schools,
clubs and academies in martial arts. Grades are
one issue but the most important issue is if you
cant provide a duty of care and someone is
injured you are liable. The health and safety of
others is important and you can never be to
careful, essentially though if you have the
right knowledge, qualifications from a separate
organisation you can provide the right evidence
in the event of a claim.
Awards Schemes
Saying thank you,
raising the profile of your academy, school or
club can really motivate your membership and
create long term loyalty. Using professional
awards to help develop your market profile and
loyalty also allows international networking so
your members see you and your organisation as
part of a bigger picture. The idea is to add
values that stop your club looking like a
holiday fund and add importance and credibility
to martial arts. The two award schemes we
support are through
Black Belt International. The first scheme
is the Student Accreditation Scheme or S.A.S.
You tell us who the deserving students are in
your school is and they will be issued an
award at an annual ceremony. Instructors can
also be nominated for various awards, these are
decided by our awards committee and instructors
are notified and invited to the awards ceremony.
